Joe served in the United States Navy on the USS Vulcan where he served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.  Joe continued his commitment to the United States Navy after the war by serving in the active reserves in Battle Creek Michigan.

Joe’s time in the Navy helped develop his career in the Financial Services industry by giving him the discipline needed to gain various knowledge about healthcare in America. 

Joe has an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan university and a Graduate degree from Michigan State University.  He has also received an industry certificate in Long -Term Care planning (CLTC) and is also an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR). 

Joe has spoken about health insurance related topics such as Medicare on the Lori Moore show and has given countless educational workshops regarding Medicare and Long-term care planning.

Joe has also started two health insurance agencies, where he is currently serving as the CEO of SMG.  Joe has a vision of healthcare being delivered in a different paradigm, giving the consumer the ability to choose when, where, and how they want to learn about healthcare.
